- The Plan
- Here's the idea: instead
of Jack doing
an amazing
feat of strength, it's our turn to
affirm our commitment to health and fitness by
doing something positive (and maybe challenging), related to
physical fitness, nutrition, or health in general.
This collective act will serve as a birthday gift for Jack and demonstrate our appreciation for all that he has done to promote a culture of physical fitness, encouraging us to take charge of our own health. It also serves as a ceremony to symbolize a "passing of the torch" from Jack to the generations of people he has inspired.
- Participation
- Simply be willing and able to do something of your choosing that is positive for your health this September 26th. Perform your "feat" solo or with a group of like-minded devotees. Participation is free,
open to all, ad-free, spam-free, and
with no
strings attached.
Ways to get involved (so we can gauge community interest and coordinate group activities):
- Register with the Team LaLanne tribe (TeamHuman.org's social networking site)
- Become a fan of JLLDay on Facebook
- Follow JLLDay on Twitter
- Events
- See the Events page for details about
local "feat of strength" activities.
In 2010 we're trying something new: To encourages everyone to continue the Jack LaLanne Day attitude throughout the year, consider the 26th day of each month to be a JLLDay practice day, to be used as a time to check-in with our own personal health improvement committment. More about this on the Events page.
